Governments provide a variety of ways for people to become involved and engaged. As citizens, we have a sacred duty to educate ourselves and to take part in public affairs.
Government Web sites from local government to the White House have valuable information. We can find out about schools, crime, budget and policy. We can also find out about local meetings from Advisory Neighborhood Commission meetings to rallies and demonstrations.
Advocacy organizations of all stripes help to ensure that all voices are heard. Become involved and, better yet—engage!
